The Rock Museum was created as a museum dedicated to the music genres that have shaped youth identity, while also telling the story of how architecture can capture cultural energy and give it physical form. Rock emerged as a break with the established order – as a voice for youth and a force that challenged norms and pushed boundaries. That same determination to make a statement and take up space can be seen in the building’s expression. Golden glamour, raw concrete and soft velvet. The Rock Museum’s award-winning architecture sparks in the meeting of contrasts: rustic and polished, simple and bold, old and new. This is the essence of rock ’n’ roll.
The Rock Museum is a place where the music lives on – not only through the speakers, but in the walls, the stories and the experiences waiting for you. Here, you can feel the rush of the festival grounds, hear the echoes of iconic concerts and discover how rock has shaped both Denmark and the world beyond.

Explore Musicon
Between preserved concrete halls and golden studs, Musicon unfolds as a vibrant neighbourhood in constant motion. What was once a concrete production site is now a post-industrial stage for urban culture, community and entrepreneurship. The raw factory buildings still form the backbone of the area. Instead of tearing them down, the neighbourhood has been built around and upon them, creating a forward-looking district that is vibrant, unconventional and fun.
